Hi,
New to this and have to plead for help.
VOLKERA LINEA MAX, FLOOR STANDING, JUST OVER TEN YEARS OLD.
Described by British Gas engineers as the boiler from hell, (My one anyway)
Lots of aggro and lots of parts replaced ainculing a full system flush / repeated as first not done properly.
The air/water tank replaced. Pressure release valve circuit boards and other bits all replaced in the last 4 months.
LATEST, there is very little heat going to any radiator. none to some.
I have done a quick bleed session but no air.
Thermostat in hall at MAX. Reading on boiler 30-32 which if I remember is less than half what I have seen in the past.
Temp goes to high 60's - low 70's when hot water turned on then falls back to the 30-32 no matter what is done with thermo. Tried turning rads off to provide an increase in flow in rest of system.
Pressure at 1.5 bar
As far as I am concerned, based on what I have seen and experianced, the British Gas lot are quite frankly bemused at best. I will be calling them again tomorrow,
What a marvellous time I am having. Wife's motor failed the MOT and needs lots of unseen fault work (today), just about no heating since the snow started, root canal drilled out this afternoon and murderous at present and another motor to put in for MOT next week YIPPEE.
PLEASE TAKE PITY ON A GUY WHO IS 50 AT THE END OF THE WEEK.
ANY HELP/SUGGESTIONS?
I know scrap it and start again, what is a really good powerful gas combi boiler and about 14 rads going to hit me for?
