I'm with Virginmedia and it came back as 8.9Mbps Download and 0.47Mbps Upload.

Download seems good as I am on the 10Mb option.
Don't really know about the Upload speed as I never upload anything.

I think you might have seen the speed of a previous user, you need to click on "run this test again"

When I clicked the link I got the same as you, when I ran it again, I got a totally different speed.

Let me know if I am right Conny.

Have to be careful with some ISPs, they advertise huge download speeds, but the upload speed is stuck in the past at half, or even quarter meg.

If you still have a 512K connection (original broadband) you probably have 56k upload!

Actually, it was 256 originally for ADSL, although I don't remember what the upload was. Think it was 64k..

Have since re-run the test twice and got Download 5.1, Upload 0.5

Run Blas's link and got following;

Download = 9745kbps
Upload = 490 kbps.
