Help with changing themostats

Hi all, first post
need some help with heating thermostat,
Pic of old satchell TLX2259 and wiring
Pic of New Salus RT500rf
1.Can i take the wires out of old unit and use in the new Salus?
if so where do they go in the salus unit?
Rest of the system comprise
potterton RS 60 boiler, central heating pump, gravity hot water
Randell 103 time clock set on constant as dial no longer turns
Reason for changing stat is that it's in a corner on a wall which
has the boiler on the other side of that wall, by using the remote
salus i will be able to site the new stat it in a more suitable place
with out rewiring
Any help appreacited

Space, that's a RF Salus room stat & you have detailed the 'receiver' unit. Are you fitting the 'transmitter' in another location??

Hi deltaT,
yes i am fitting the receiver in place of the satchwell thermostat and will be fixing the transmitter in a more suitable place, so hopefully it will be just a exchange of wires to the salus receiver

GG he's on a gravity HW system & pumped CH by the looks of it??

I forgot you've a programmable room thermostat, change the wire that goes into 3(old stat) to a perminent live at the time switch, put the link in the 'receiver' unit as shown, put the wire that goes into 4(old stat) into neut(reciever), the wire that goes into 1(old stat) put it into NO/SL on the receiver & use the new prog/roomstat to control your CH only.

Hi DeltaT, RT500 receiver fitted and wired,
my red to live.
blue to N,
link from live to com,
yellow to SL/ON
Result. does not work (240v on yellow) no volts on red.
swapped yellow to the other SL and C/H pump now working
Red led on
green led off ? (should this be on all the time?)
will try reading the the manual next to see if i can get it to switch off or control, i have the unit within 1M at the moment
