Hi guys. I'm new to this show and would like some advise on my central heating.
Yesterday I drained the system so I could move 1 radiator 7inches to the right.
All went well until I discovered warm water backfilling into the headertank
Ive bled all radiators twice but I havent bled the pump.
What do you recon?
Keith

I reckon you need to ask a modertor to move this to the plumbing section

poss the cylinder coil has failed.
blockage/restriction.

need more info.

backfilling from what pipe vent or feed ?

could these be the symtpons of a failed thermostat on an immersion heater?

If so, you want to get this checked pronto, did you hear the story about that poor little girl ?

so how would it be filling the f/e tank if the immersion stat had failed ?

totally different situation.
and that wasn't just a faulty stat issue.

i was only asking - sounded similar at first glance.

Ok then, you explain what the problem is....

ah, ok. - didn't notice that was you.
Now then, please indulge me, im not a plumber. Could you expand on your ideas?

just interested in you expending on what you think is wrong and possibly what can be done to rectify the problem (not a wind-up, actually interested)
