whirpool washing machine problem

I swicthed the washing machine off mid-cycle and left it overnight, in the morning would not start again ( full of water) emptied, and tried again on all different programmes but still nothing, light comes on but nothing happens, It is an older model where there is no LD display, there is just a dial which comes out once programme is selected and thats the on button. Is it fixable?

Probably a daft question but where did you switch it off at, just the machine or the socket or further back & have you checked that you have a supply to the washer?

HI, I didnt switch it off at the mains, I just put the dial back in, which is the switch button ( see on this picture its on the left hand side)

Hi, i did, but also the light comes on the machine when its switched on so ti shouldn't be the fuse thats the problem
