it makes the usual noise and water is pumping

where would i look?

thank you

Is the pilot flame alight or is the "pilot on neon" lit?

the flame is alight. Found out that resistance on gas valve solenoid is 1.5 kOhm instead of 5 kOhm.

Suppose replacing that should fix the problem, am i correct in thinking that?

Several things it could be. You need a registered gas engineer.

its a known problem on these that the solenoid fails on the gas valve, it can be changed as a seperate part 2 wires and a clip to hold it on.

if it isn't then its likely to be a pcb i'm afraid

Thank you for your post. PCB was changed few months ago so i doubt it is that and the rest of the system behaves normally.

I will just try to change solenoid as it doesnt involve anything special and the fact that the resistance of existing one dropped from 5kOhm to just 1.5kOhm indicates internal problem with it.

Well, new solenoid has the same resistance 1.5kOhm, which indicates that my diagnosis is wrong(or rather manual has wrong details)

anybody could share a manual for this boiler, maybe? I would appreciate it very much as the quality of mine is not v good.

I take to fix it I would need new board or new gas valve assembly.

one question though - if the gas valve is faulty how does the pilot light is working and ignites properly. I would expect no gas flow at all?

How does the boiler realize that the pilot light is lit? it isnt a thermocouple method.

thanks in advance
