I have a leak someone in my old CH system....occured after installing a new boiler.

Losing around 0.5 bar every 24 hours... any ideas if its worth trying sealant before ripping up floorboards?

and if so, any suggestions on which have worked for people...

a medium level of effort...looked under the floorboards in 4 rooms but not tracked the pipes all around the house. They do go under 50 year old solid wooden flooring and under concrete too.

It will hurt to start ripping all that up...is sealant not worth a shot to begin with?

Guess system has been changed to a combi then!!
You may have no end of problems now my friend but have nothing to lose trying internal sealant.

Internal leak sealer is available from fernox & Sentinel , I have used it with success ??? however I have used it , & it was a disaster , blocked the stainless steel heat exc' on a condenser , you take your chance's with it ??????????

OR you could add a bottle of cheap aftershave to the system and wait for the smell to arise ........it does work. At least you will know what you will need to rip up.

Have you checked all the usual suspects ie. rad valves and tails under boiler etc.?

Old system ??? sealed up , pipe's buried in the screed ???? new boiler ,
