Diagram review for Bathroom Re-Install

It was suggested in a previous thread by Holmslaw and Bongo that a 3amp FCU should be used for the fan circuit
No - I suggested either a RCD FCU with a 3A fuse or if you already had RCD protection I suggested a FCU with a 3A fuse.

These were to provide local isolation for the fan. I didn't mention the lights! :LOL:

Ahh sorry Bongos - I'll get a photo tonight of my consumer unit and post to see if I can replace the MCB with an RCD for the upstairs lighting.

Overall how does my plan appear now?

Is this CU suitable for the upstairs lighting trip unit (3rd from left) to be replaced with a suitable 6amp 30amp RCD? If so could someone point me to the item I need to get?

All your circuits are protected by the up front 30mA RCD.

Ahhh... :oops: and so a separate RCD isn't require for the bathroom electrics?

Can I drop one more complication into this...were I to add a shaver socket with a permanent feed, would I drop it down from the loopin junction box via it's own FCU with appropriately spec'd fuse?

No, it would be pointless using additional RCD's though you may want to have your existing RCD tested to ensure it's working within spec.

Shaver sockets, when supplied via a local lighting circuit, generally don't require FCU's. They're normally supplied from a local lighting circuit with a permanant supply.
Same with your mirror light (check the MI though).
Only the fan might require a FCU due to the MI possibly requesting protection by a 1A or 3A fuse (check which, if required).

So formally to be compliant with regulations, it doesn't require an FCU unless the shaver socket manufacturer states so?

I'm assuming MI is Manufacturers Instructions? In which case the mirror light/demister doesn't request an FCU according to those.

Yeah the fan does state that it requires 3amp protection. I'll retain the FCU inline for that.

Thanks again for all of your help and patience - we all started somewhere and this experience has made me consider education to obtain electrical qualification!

I'll take some pictures of the installation afterwards and post here.

Quick question - the set of 10 LED's that I intend to use (IP54, Zone 1 rated) have a transformer built into the plug itself therefore making it impossible to wire directly into the light circuit unless I spur from the light circuit a socket in the loft to be used for the LED's only (and appropriately/clearly marked).

Based on regulations/safety only, is this acceptable?

What's the white area on the insulation at the terminations?
Have you used side cutters to strip the insulation?
The rear termination doesn't look too great.

Its paint...accidently painted the insulation. The terminals are clean and I always use proper electrical wire insulation strippers, it's just a bad photo.
