Hi

I currently have a Mira 723 mixer shower installed.

Basically the whole thing has gone. My question is whether the part that is not removable (the bracket the supply pipes are attached to) is a standard fitting? I can take the main body, containing the thermostat coil out

I'm asking as it seems to have been thrown in, and plastered around when it was installed so would mean making a foot square hole in the wall to install a new shower.

If not, is using plastic pipe from a water pump ok, or should I stick with copper?

Thanks in advance

You used to be able to buy every part of a Mira shower and I guess you still can from Caradon. They'll send you an exploded drawing and you can put a whole shower into the main body. New knobs, bezels, washers, O rings, everything. The tech helpline will also tell you what you need. Pricey but less than knocking out the whole sheebang.

Thanks

Well it's only a temporoary thing, so I don't mind buying a cheap one to install as it'll be a good practice and works out cheaper than doing it that way anyway.

Was just gonna knock out all of the plaster that had been put there and back fill it afterwards anyway. Just thought it might be a bit easier if I could use plastic pipes too.
