tiling a shower area. Have had wall plastered and primed with pva. having a problem with tiles adhering to wall.

How long is it since the wall was skimmed ?
best advice i will give you is to get some rough sandpaper and give the wall a good sanding to get the PVA OFF, Do not use PVA mate.
get a good primer such as BAL APD or BAL SBR, what is the adhesive you are using to fix the tiles to?
