Work in Progress

No reason why you shouldn't use old colours for new work on an old installation anyway.

Wouldn't have thought it was very likely you will need to replace those RCBOs.
I've just had a BC inspection under Part P on my new CU. I needed another sticker on the CU to warn of a mix between old and new colours. This is in addition to the one instructing the user to test the RCBOs every 3 months.

As a consumer, I hate tying cables together as it increases cross talk and reduces their current carrying capacity.

Whats cross talk then? :?

This is a BT term for when you hear other peoples' telephone conversations while on the blower, caused by induction

I have heard of crosstalk in communication type application but fail to see how it would be a problem in mains wiring?

Not too many then. I only ask because of the cost of them.

£20 a pop isn't too bad.

Eventually planning to have:

32 Cooker
32 Sockets up
32 Sockets down
32 Sockets kitchen
32 Sockets utility

16 Sockets exterior
16 Socket garage
16 Sockets fridge freezer

6 alarm
6 lights up
6 lights down
6 lights outside
6 lights garage

The 4 32A socket circuits, are the radials or ring final circuits?

A mixture....

32 Cooker - Existing Radial
32 Sockets up - Future ring, currently on ring with sockets down
32 Sockets down - Future ring, currently on ring with sockets up
32 Sockets kitchen - Future ring
32 Sockets utility - Future ring

.....16's?

Yes......?

was panning on 2.5mm radials.

Is there a reason you can't run 20A radials? More capacity is rarely a bad thing.

No.

But I do have a philosophy of not choosing products which prevent me from implementing the design I want.
