Hello

I've plumbed a towel rail in and it was in a very tight space, i tried not to use to many joints and bend the pipe in places where i thought the radius of the bend might not be to small, but on one bend where it goes into a compression joint it doesnt quite go in square. I have tightened up as much as i can but it still seeps and i'm getting a drip every 20 mins or so, rather than take it all apart and put another piece of pipe in , is there any kind of sealant i could use to stop it.

Thanks

You'll have to dismantle it, but try PTFE tape wrapped round the olive, or something like Fernox LS-X sealant.

ok thanks , what can i do to dismantle it without draining the whole system again. i'm sure i read something about blocking the vent pipes.

I'd advise you drain down and inspect pipe/fitting thats leaking.

Make sure the pipe has been inserted fully into the fitting and the olive hasn't been squeezed on the pipe too much.

If it looks ok then apply a little jointing compound (Boss Universal, Hawk White, LS-X etc) around the olive and tighten.
