Hi All,
Our old reliable combi oil boiler of 15 year or so years has just started to go into lockout. I have reset the lockout a number of times and the boiler does restart and continues on for some time, but will eventually go back into lockout.
I have found that if I turn off the central heating side of the boiler, then it will continue on (multiple continuous showers) with out problems. If I turn the central heating backon then it will eventually go into lockout!
I have checked:
Oil levels OK
Photocell cleaned
replugged all connectors (with power off)
Any ideas, before calling in a professional?
BTW - the boiler does appear to be hotter than normal, but that could be just me.
Cheers for any suggestions.
Tim.
