Before I blow up the neighbourhood can anyone tell me if a propane gas barbecue can use butane if I swap to a butane regulateor? Or are there other important features and should I only use propane?
My butane bbq has died but I still have 2 full bottles and the shiny new one I want is propnae.
Thanks if you can help.

yes you can, it's not a good idea to go from butane to propane as if the barbie was designed for butane, the hotter burning propane might not agree with it - so i was once told by a barbeque salesman anyway.

I think they might require different regulator pressures. The old BBQ's butane regulator might be the right pressure already.

I know it won't apply to a BBQ, well, probably not anyway, but isn't one OK for use from the bottle indoors and the other only for use from the bottle outdoors.

Or is that calor and butane?
