Hi, weve a new multipoint water heater to be installed, which is app. 10m from the gas meter. There is a modern CH-only boiler, and one gas fire currently running on the system. How much of the gas feed run to the multipoint can be 15mm?

Cheers - Mick.

There's not enough information in your post to answer this so you'll be required to carry out a pipe sizing calculation as done in your ACS training.

If id personaly done the training i wouldnt be asking. Ive jumped the gun and asked because ive a relative (who has done the training) coming up twixt xmas and new year to do the job, and was trying to make sure we'd have all the stuff to hand in case the plumbers merchants were shut. But, he reckons he'll have enough stuff on the van to do it whatever sizes are needed.
So i needn't have asked, and you needn't have panicked.

3 guesses at who is having a go him/her self at installing it.

Any rgi worth his salt (if he, / she's not cleared their drive with it) would just have plenty of 'van stock' to cover any eventuality. Its not difficult.

Do you not trust your 'installer'?

Couldn't give a f*** what you do. You didn't specify the rated inputs of the CH boiler, fire, or water heater nor the order they're installed. So, as I stated, not enough information to answer your question.

As you've not done ACS I'll re-phrase then.

You'll need to carry out a pipe sizing calculation before you DIY this.

Ive heard some bullshirt excuses from people attempting DIY gas as to why they are asking the question on here, but this tops it  HA  HA  HA
