I have a rothenberger pipe threader which the cable has become damaged due to being trapped and split, what is the type of cable I require to change it ?

Step 1) take the flex off the pipe threader
Step 2) take trip to your local electrical wholesaler
Step 3) say ''I want some of this!'
Step 4) pay for it
Step 5) get your mate to fit it on for you

Probably upset somebody by saying this, but I just use that white 13a 3-core 'arctic' stuff from screwfix whenever one of ours needs re-doing. Seems to take strain and abrasion pretty well and doesn't kink a lot either. Very similar to the link above.

I don't think so. Mr Sheds seems to have made a big mistake in giving this advice. Probably rushed it...
My apologies - I didn't think that my reply to "I have a rothenberger pipe threader which the cable has become damaged due to being trapped and split, what is the type of cable I require to change it ?" needed winking smileys or crystal ball photos added.

Guess I overestimated you.

See if you can get DetlefSchmitz to explain. He just might be able to do a good enough job to fool himself into thinking that his version of events is believable.

I must confess to being bewildered by this out-of-the-blue attack. It seems to suggest a serious sense of humour failure. I hadn't realised that the forum operators had given B-A-S a monopoly on making weak jokes.
