Hi All,

About to varnish parquet floor with coloured diamond hard ronseal. The room is 16' x 12' so to make the job less of a ball breaker was wondering if it is ok to apply using a roller instead of a brush?

If so, what sort of roller should I use? And how many coats?

Many thanks!

Some people use a roller but if you do make sure it has a very short pile otherwise you will experience spark marks.

If you can you'd be better using as large a brush as you can handle or a lambswool applicator which definitely produces the best results.

Hope this helps

The Ronseal diamond hard that comes in a tub (not the small tins) comes with a mop type thing to apply it to the floor. It is made for the job and makes it loads quicker and easier and leaves a smooth finish
