i am new to this and would really like some advice... i had a new central heating system put in last feb/march. I had to call the plummer back in Feb as one of the towel rails had a leak, he fixed this and and gave me instructions on how to increase the water pressure if it dropped.
I didnt think anymore until last week...i cant get the heating to work, the green light above the override button is flashing, on thursday last week i had to increase the pressure to 1.5 (as it had dropped), i tried to reset the boiler but to no avail, the pressure had dropped even further today so had to increase that again...i have read that an decrese in pressure could indicate a leak??? I wonder why the plummer gave me these instructions??!

Hot water working fine, i managed to manually overide the heating and turned the thermostate down but in the morning the heat coming from the radiators was full blast...could it be that the thermostat is not talking to the boiler?

any help would be greatly appreciated

again...i have read that an decrese in pressure could indicate a leak??? I wonder why the plummer gave me these instructions??!

The Plumber gave you the filling instructions because that is standard practice to explain to the customer how to use the boiler which would include how to fill the heating system, and what to do when the pressure drops.

the thermostate i have is: MT10RF/mechanical RF thermostat made my worcester; however i followed the instructions for transmitter radio link set up and the last step was to reset the thermostat by pressing the reset button....but it doesnt have a reset button!

Hi, i happened to mention my problem to a friend who asked if i had moved anything electrical by the boiler as this could effect the connections between the thermostat and the boiler. I moved my radio to the top of the cupboard that houses my boiler a few weeks ago......i have moved it off and followed the instructions on how to set up the thermostat...and way and behold all working fine!!!

I would like to thank all who have assisted me in this..and i will be reccommending this site to all my friends

Thanks again guys
