HELP!

I needed to take a radiator off the wall and because I was going to move it anyway I thought I would drain the central heating system down as it is summer anyway. Problem is that now I have no hot water and having tried to get the water running I may have damaged something in the boiler as I have some water dripping from what looks like the water pump. The system pressure is now at zero due to me draining the central heating system. Has anyone got any advice. I will be calling plumber in the morning..

i just changed a rad there myself you shoulda turn the boiler off till you filled the system back up via filling loop

You shouldn't run the combi AT ALL without water in the heating system!. This includes hot water only.

Thanks,

Will get plimber out in morning. Have I damaged the boiler? Only ran the water for about 5 mins. What an idiot!
