Picture of the week - I know I have nicked RF's idea.

I'm no electrician and I dont have the rule book but even I can see at least 6 problems in the first photo.

Pic 1 slightly dubious termination / earth connection on the SWA.

Thats the only thing I can see thats wrong in the two pics.

Take your pick, one of each code a couple of times at a quick glance.

Love the connector strip inside the consumer unit :D

Is that a B40 with a ring final on it, second from the main switch? Hard to see the numbers.

Neutrals all into Chock Block
Undersized Main Earthing
No gland on SWA

2nd Pic :

Switch Fuse not attached to anything

Looks like possibly 3 Flats or maybe 2 flats and the landlords supply!
Looks a bit dog rough TBH!

The "termination," if one can call it that, of the SWA in the first picture is certainly rough. Apart from the jubilee-clip earth, it looks as though somebody has slid some gray sheathing over the inner cores in an attempt to emulate insulated & sheathed singles.

Not clear, but enlarging as much as possible without it becoming a mess of dots, I think that could be 40A.

Also not perfectly clear, but in the second picture is the case of that old MEM switch-fuse actually earthed to anything? There's another jubilee clip around the outgoing cable below it, but I can't quite make out if one of that tangle of earthing leads actually connects to the unit itself.
