has anybody fitted the new baxi yet. sounds good with the 5 year warranty ?

5 year warranties are everywhere now, what varies is how good/keen manufacturers are to wriggle out of them

Done a few netatecs, nice and light and compact. Stupid position of the test point on the gas valve the control panel doesn't stay up and the ignition lead pulls out if you lean on the panel..

fitting my first one next week. :D

Found the netatecs jig to be dreadful, don't like pressure gauge position.
DO NOT turn the boiler on electrically until you have both the gas at the boiler and the system filled.
Lockout if you do, and it's debatable whether you can get it out of it.

Jig is sh#te if the wall is uneven and if in tight spot close to floor connections are a nuisance.
Gauge is in a silly place but no need for it as it is displayed on control panel anyways.
Flue will need one person in and one out to push into place unless you make hole big enough to drop into place.
Few wee niggles with it that need getting used to .

is it the same type of jig as the duo tec ?

Not the old duotech.
It has a central bar then a T at top and then fittings at bottom in a different form than before with the flow connection being nearly seperate from the rest of jig

I fitted one last week: Some issues previously mentioned;

Control flap doesn't stsy up without case

Pressure guage in silly position, especially if little lower clearance

On mine, I hade to adjust the orientation of the PRV to allow connection of filling loop. It is okay once you know you CAN move it, but a little nerve wracking

I found the initial start up okay

Not a lot of flexibility on the connections / jig

MIs state 32mm condense PLUS lagging Is that norma;l on MIs now?

Wiring easy

why cant you reset it? what happens if you fill it but with no gas and switch it on?

or even switch it all with nothing connected?
