Just had the above installed but having problem with control, MI contradict wiring instruction for boiler with that of honeywell guide, original wiring does not work and following MI to wire pump thru boiler the boiler is live and running with controller live but turned off?
Plumber has tried replacing both three port valve actuator and controller [danfoss fp 715si].Have also replaced wiring from controller to boiler to ensure no cable damage.
Any ideas?

It is difficult to understand your description of the problem.

We fit an Ri pretty much every week of the year, and the wiring is very straightforward.

You appear to be backfeeding the boiler via the pump overrun cable, but the description is so vague it is hard to tell.

What amazes me is that you mention an 'installer'. I'm one of those and my customers would not dream of letting me leave a system wired incorrectly...... how come this person can walk away from a problem of his making?

If I was Agile i would be speculating the nationality of the installer and his professional status with Gas Safe Register.

Hope it was a cheap job, I take it there was no powerflush machine in evidence either? Actually, no point asking really.

Why not start by telling us something about the installer?

Would he be able to read the Sun or the Mail and enjoy one or other of those papers? ( or even the Telegraph? ).

If anyone reminds me in the CC I will tell a story about papers.

How do you know that he is Gas Safe registered?

As Simon has said, how is it that he can install the boiler and then leave you with it not working correctly?

Now the payment? Surely you are not going to pay him when he has not completed the job correctly?

If he cannot do it properly then all he has to do is call an industry colleague ( and pay him ) to sort it out! There are thousands who will be happy to do that!

I made no mention of him leaving without getting it working, he was here from 8am to 8pm , he installs these daily and never came across this problem before, should have been a straight swop for the old boiler, but after much head scratching found that a link was required which is not mentioned in honeywell quide or the MI.
It's now working fine, has cleaner in system and he will be returning to flush system in a couple of days.
He is gas safe registered and has installed boiler at my other property without hitch.
I was simply asking for guidance not criticism.

So basically you have got crap running round your system and the hex on an ri is a big magnet for it, hope your system aint too dirty cos that cleanser aint gonna do sod all for that hex.
If the guy cant wire a simple boiler then he defo cant flush a system properly......good luck with your boiler cos you are gonna need it.
