connecting 3/8" pipe to 10mm pipe?

I need to connect an old 3/8" I/D copper pipe (on a narrowboat)
to a new 10mm O/D pipe (connection to bubble tester)
I cant seem to find a reducer of this size
Any suggestions ? or specialist suppliers?

Go to a Hydraulics/Pneumatics supplier.
I normally use a company called Thorite.

They will be able to sort out An "Enots" fitting to suit.

Would you class that as an approved fitting.

Pipework on boats must be silver soldered or brazed. (melting point above 450c)

Suitable compression fittings need pipe inserts.

When did you last work on a canal boat?

If I turned up a brass adaptor then it will have been made for the purpose and if necessary then I could approve it ( and write CE on it as well ).

1/4" olives fit 10mm I think

3/8 is slightly smaller than 10mm
5/16 is same as 8mm
1/4 is slightly smaller than 6mm
A 3/8 olive in a 10mm fitting seals effectively.

Also, on boats, mechanical joints only are allowed, screwed, compression or flare.

B.S.S. (Boat Safety Scheme) guidelines should be followed. Soldered joints are susceptible to cracking with vibration. Mechanical joints may loosen, but can easily be repaired.
