Heart Sinks emoticon. Missing parts, poor deliveries, tech helpines.

Well, I suppose you might get some desperado come and say - no problemo.

I guess you'll be looking for a 'cash discount' too......

To give a close price we would need to know more details;
Combi or unvented cylinder?
Type & number of showers?
Range of sanitary ware?
Copper or plastic service pipe work?
Etc etc etc

We're not "Brikkies" though are we?

No we are not, but I just stated that as a reflection of current construction industry...............Wait around long enough & some idiot will do a job for next to nothing!!!

2 days first fix, 4 days 2nd fix another day finaling , a younger plumber would do it quicker perhaps,
£120 a day if sausage and mash, £200 a day thou' books, thats asuming you buy all mat'ls including, pipe, fittings, solder, flux and gas,
I would't come down there thou, you'd have to bring your house up to wigan,

You can never get price through a forum without anyone seeing the job. Plus your plumber will have to spend time making material lists etc as there is no way you could know exactly whats needed down to the solder, flux, wire wool, fittings, gas etc etc etc

The list is neverending.

Reason your getting 3 different prices as every tradesman values their worth in different categories, why should you work for pennies when you know your good at your job.

Im shocked you got 3 quotes for labour only as most wouldnt bother working like that, lets say you get told order 30m of 15mm copper and it takes 35m your going to assume the plumber has stolen 5m, i wouldnt bother

know what you mean mate. I tiled a bathroom for a customer this year and they showed me loads of boxes of tiles in garage and because i said 'you look like youve got enough' i got accused of stealing them when they were 2 boxes short!

I politely went and got the rubble sack full of the waste cuts and told them to count them.

Aint going back there for work again if they ring as i dont do jobs for ****** like them.
