How to rain proof a small wooden pyramid?

hi there,

here is a pic of a small wooden pyramid i built (for meditation).

is it best to asphalt it, or pvc, or else?

if i buy the sheets of asphalt (fake tile grainy stuff) then how do i fix it - glue or nails? what type of glue?

Why not use EPDM?
