sorry, just adding weight to the 'plastic' argument.... as most DIYers (i reckon) prefer a pushfit to a soldered copper joint !! :eek:

(bearing in mind that this whole thread is Dex's midnight runners !! ;) )

Good, sweated copper joints with no drips or runs are a sign of care and professionalism.

Pity one can't get an amalgamation of the two. We could call it "plastic copper"
 
Plastics got it's uses on the right job/places but in the hands of a diyer
it's a disaster.
You're a pro, explain this to me. Compression or pushfit joints are meant to remain accessible for maintenance. So how does one facilitate this when the fitting will be embedded within concrete and/or boarded over with engineered boards?
