You can multi-task - listen to the news, reply on here, strip the gearbox on your Norton and mark the homework

Now I'm drunk and I apologise if I am incoherent. As far as I can tell, IDS has just said that he is intent on reducing benefits since it is his duty to remove people from this dependency culture. Moreover, he suggested that the state, tax payers all, should feel it a matter of duty to remove the benefit recipients from this status which "we" seem to have "forced" them into.

Precisely what are these people to do in order to eat and make ends meet? He failed to mention that bit. Just make them destitute and all will be well presumably. What a count!!

He's bang on.
Reducing them and eliminating them is the way to go.

How precisely do you eliminate them?? Bear in mind these undesirables include innocent children who were born into this.

I agree and the dole cheats should be forced to find gainful employment. Having said that, how do you seperate the wheat from the chaff?

I can see a flaw, wouldn't this increase crime and cost the government money, could end up being a false economy

Instead of taking away the benefit, lets attack the reason why they want to sit on their ass's watching Jeremy Kyle, lack of motivation, only enough intelligence to stack shelves

This sounds like a blanket statement aimed at all on benefits and it smacks of desperation!!!!

In another thread, I talked about the immigrants, that should also equate to the fact that there are many people in this country that have no intention of working, or wish to mass produce babies just to get a council flat, live off benefits and stick their fingers up to the honest tax payer.

The benefits silly.
So by starving them and making them freeze they will suddenly go out and get jobs (what jobs - there aren't any!!)??

Now is not the time to socially engineer the situation. Indeed it breaks several of the fundamental criteria of capitalism which the northern hemisphere operates by and which generates (as a by product) the dependent underclass

Many I suspect is in fact a tiny minority and so we shouldn't punish the vast majority in order to deal with these few. It is as silly and unacceptable as me keeping a whole class of 30 in detention because two children misbehaved. Why IDS can't see this is a mystery
