religion?

Just because Hitler was catholic doesn't mean that was the reason for war.

Give us a link showing religion as a cause of WW1. (he won't).

Give us a link then. Just because Hitler was catholic doesn't mean that was the reason for war. Give us a link showing religion as a cause of WW1. (he won't).

I've told you on more than one occasion now Joe, and stop mentioning Hitler.....no one has said WW2 was caused by mainly by religion, even though it had a massive role .

Read about Franz Ferdinand and some of the policies he was going to implement, the ruling over Bosnia as leader of Austra-Hungary, His plans to change the religous state of the South Slavs. The Serbian group the Black Hands who killed him, starting WW1 and the reasons they killed him.

You need to read about the history of WW1 and the years before it to even debate about it.

It was not just about countries wanting territorial advantages like you said.....show me more detailed evidence (HE WONT)

Captaincaveface is clearly a communist with a deep seated hatred of God, and of those who have received the love and salvation of God.

He seeks to blame everything, even Hitler, on the Christian religion. As displayed by his posts on this thread, there is very little reason or logic - beyond his lunatic marxist manifesto - behind his blatantly hate-fuelled attacks.

Dont be nieve surely you can see my point yes ok when it comes to iraq it was for the oil so ill give you that one joe
Don't think Iraq was just about oil, the Zionists wanted rid of Saddam because he was supplying logistical and moral support to the Palestinians, most of the intelligence about so called WMD's came from the Israeli's if these weapons had really existed on the scale alleged they would have known about it, so in a sense religion was involved in the Iraq war.

i'm surprised thus far that no one seems to have mention 'racism' as 'a' or 'the main' reason for war...

I think Humans are intrinsically greedy (which we supress in most aspects of our lives), plus, we're easily hurt or insulted..... and either of these lead to wanting vengeance... which i think is a huge reason for violence in the past...

Religion is a reason to be different that's all... like a football team or a gang...

As has been said religion was only a small part of recent wars and in some cases not even a factor but the far distant past is a little different.
Both christianity, judaism and islam have sought to extend their power and influence with crucades and religious persuctions over other peoples. Perhaps if we as a species had actually been able to get along without the "my imaginary friend is better than your imaginary friend " conflicts over the last few thousand years then we may never have had the recent wars.
