Been asked to fit a flush/skeleton consumer unit.
Not done one before, so wondering if there are any tips needed, things to look out for and stuff to avoid?
Also any recommendations on make/model type.
It will be recessed in to stone wall, require 10 circuits all RCBOs.
Many thanks in advance of predicted replies.

I've only ever done one and it was an MK sentry.

It's surprising how deep the box needs to be flushed, so check that you're not compromising the structural integrity of the wall.

One thing is that I seem to remember that there wasn't a huge amount of movement in the DIN rail, so you'll need to find out the finished plaster level and try to get the box set in the right position.

They are a bit of a mare to put in but look great when they're done.

I agree, they look good.

The big issue I found - again for the only one I did - was how and where to route the meter tails. I had no option in my install but to run them in the cavity - about a metre.

That was one of my concerns, as the property is not in best of condition.
Did think if had to go in excessively, popping a header/lintel in.
Not sure if that is over the top or not!
