New oven & Hob loading

I have bought a new oven rated at 4.8kw and a new hob rated at 6.6kw
Can I run these cumulative max 11.4kw from my current single cooker socket?

I can't see any rating on the trip switch at the fusebox and I no longer have the old oven to see what kw rating that was so I am not sure what amperage the circuit is. The house was built in 1998

We need photos of the fuse at the cu and the cable at the existing cooker switch to help.

Alongside the above could you give a decent estimate of the distance between fuse board and the cooker?

Of course there is. It will say something like "B32"
That's a 32A B curve contact breaker.

No your not - that MCB and cable size is okay for that oven/hob after taking into accound diversity and assuming your cooker switch has a socket in you are looking at a max of around 27Amps.
Assuming there are no other derating factors.

unless I am misunderstanding the calculations that I have seen online (i.e. divide total load by 240 to arrive at amps) I have 6600+4800 = 11400 / 240 = 47.5 amps NOT 27

I do not understand "diversity" but surely in the event (Xmas I would guess!) that all hob plates and the oven is in use I could easily be pushing 47.5 amps?

The standard UK voltage value for regulations is 230v - though not everyone has caught up to this yet.
Look here for an explanation of diversity.
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Book/6.5.2.htm - it still uses 240v - substitute your oven/hob figures and work it out for yourself.
There is a considerable amount of safety margin built into cable and MCB's and I doubt that even though TLC raise the Christmas question there would in actual fact be a problem.
Remember once the oven reaches its target temperature it switches its off - same for hob plates.
