I have just discovered through deduction that my Gledhill Unvented cylinder was letting by on the pressure reducing valve.
What a pain! A fair percentage of my gas heated water and solar input all washed down the tundish! :-(
I have added a separate PRV to the mains now so I can increase the temperature to more than 45 degrees.

Why didnt I notice the water pouring away, well cylinder is in attic not near living areas.
Pahh! :?

Interesting - I know of a system that is doing the same .I concluded that a PRV only reduces when there is flow - a pressure Regulator is the answer . But I`ve not got the unvented ticket , so what do I know

Nige, a "Drop Tight" PRV will stop water creep through the valve and maintain the downstream pressure as set.
