Hi guys,
as per the title really. Water board say its galv steel , I say it's lead. It's soft and easily bent / marked . Opinions ?

(I should add the OD is 27mm and the ID is 15mm if that's of any use)

Looks like lead to me. Have the water board seen it or are they assuming what should be there?

The water board have seen it previously (months ago) and said it was galv. I really dont think they are correct. But as I am not sure of galv characteristics it's a bit difficult for me to say

If it's soft and easily bent it's definitely not steel.

I can easily mark it and yeah it is pretty easy to bend (way easier than copper for example).

I thought they were telling me porkies

thanks for your input

definately lead galv is very easily identified and as prvious poster said a magnet will stick to Galv but not lead
