I have an odd problem with an Ivory 3 shower unit that I installed a few years back.
For some reason the on/off dial has started to rotate freely without operating the shower. The unit hasn't been damaged and hasn't been opened since installation.
I took of the face plate and there were no signs of damage to either the on/off dial or the switch below and no loose parts fell out. When I manually rotated the power selector switch without the face plate in place the unit functioned normally. The issue therefore seems to be that the face plate dial has stopped engaging with the power selector swithch below. I have no idea why.
I spoke to Triton and they weren't able to help as without any signs of damage or inspecting the unit they cannot advise on a means of repair. I don't want to buy another face plate if it may not solve the problem and it canot be returned once fitted.
Has anyone come across this issue before? If so how was it sorted out?
Can anyone suggest a means of sorting this? I have considered trying to shape a short piece of wooden rod to fit into the hollows in the back of the face plate dial and the front of the power selector switch to create a connection between the two but hoped there may be an easier way.
