This some sort of re-branded Chinese crap that will probably last about 2 weeks before you have to rip it out and start again?

Or are we paying ten times this, for the same items repackaged? Just because its more expensive, doesn't necessarily mean improved quality/reliability.
The Chinese suppliers don't really care what way we buy them, as long as they get the sale.

Indeed - that is often overlooked. Distributor and retail mark-ups are such that manufacturers may well not sell for much more than 20% of hat we pay in the shops, even for the same-branded product.

Having said that, if a reputable western company is prepared to rebrand these products as their own, that offers a fair degree of reassurance - and at least a convenient point of reference (and local set of laws!) should the product prove to be unsatisfactory!

Anyone got a piccy of the old Merlin Gerin fake MCBs for comparison of the package, I can see one opened up on google images but can't find a piccy of the front.

I think i read and see a picture somewhere, they were labelled as C45 which was an old range superceeded by the C60 range so I think it stood out a mile they were not genuine
