yes you do and you need the polysure chamferring tool to do it
" Jointing Polysure is simple as each fitting contains features to make installation as easy as possible. There is visual indication of the pipe being inserted into the fitting correctly as well as a locating washer to ensure the press jaws are located on the fitting in the correct position prior to pressing.
Once pipes have been prepared for jointing using the chamfering tool to provide a lead in, the pipe is simply push into the Polysure fitting until the pipe becomes visible in the sight hole in the stainless steel sleeve. Using the press jaws appropriate to the size of fitting, either manual or battery powered press guns can be used to complete the joint. The jaws ensure the fitting is pressed in the correct profile taking full advantage of the double seal arrangement within the fitting. "
Yes but you need to use an adaptor, why are you using Polysure its an expensive way of fitting anything and a lot of messing about , only advantage is that it is tamperproof once installed
