can i now buy get double oven

I'm not an expert in these matters

But I would have thought that persons cultivating stuff do not worry about the size of the supply fuse or that their fusebox is "full" !

Now, now. Calm down! It's all a bit of light hearted banter based mainly on the fact that usually domestic consumers who are consuming extraordinary amounts of power are usually cultivating stuff in their attic. And usually off the next doors supply at that!

As I say, just a bit of light hearted banter.

Relax!

Breath!

See? That's better!!

All we are all saying is you are not using 23kW of electricity.

That's 100a, that's talking leaving your electric shower on ALL the time, all of your cooker on ALL the time, every single appliance you own on ALL the time, even with that you're probably only getting up to around half of your 100A supply.

Adding up the breakers does not tell you what current you are drawing/power you are using.

For example, just added up my CU and I have 162a worth of breakers, yet my measured usage currently (with a clamp meter) is:

With 16a Immersion Heater: 13.75a
Without Immersion Heater: 1.21a

Thats 278W of power I'm using, or 3.16kW with the Immersion Heater.

Yet you're trying to say you use 2300W?

No

If you refuse to explain why you think you are using that much electricity, and therefore end up deliberately cutting yourself off from explanations of why you really are not using anything like as much, then you aren't going to be able to get meaningful advice here.

My typical usage is around 5a so 1.2kW ish, I would imaging this is fairly typical

I keep meaning to get a usage monitor of some sort but a clamp meter does the trick

There's at least 1 member here who knows what DNOs typically assume when they are looking at several street-fulls of houses..
