Hi Everyone

I have a problem with one of my storage heaters so was looking around for inspiration and came across this site, so was wondering if anybody could help.

It is a Robinson Willey, (RW) heater, but i can't see any model number on there. Its a large 3 element unit. Whats happened is that my wonderful wife (!) decided to put some clothes over it and since then it has been stone cold, so i'm guessing that its overheated and tripped. Ive had the covers off and found a reset switch under the right cover which ive pressed but it has not come back to life. Ive checked the fuse in both the socket its connected to and at the consumer unit and both seem ok. So is there anywhere else in the heater that i should be checking?

Thanks for your help

Paul

Thanks for the reply

Yep i found that site during my travels. On that pic numbers 4 and 5 seem to relate to whats on this heater, the reset button is a manual one that just pushes then releases, and i cant see any reset on what that calls the 'limit thermostat', the part number on this heater is SP988654.

did you leave it overnight once you pressed the reset??
storage heaters generally only get powered during the night when the electricity is cheap so nothing would happen until then...
