replacing kitchen sink trap

hi

i am having some trouble with fitting dishwasher waste pipe. (details here: //www.diynot.com/forums/plumbing/help-with-dishwasher-waste-pipe-installation.349502/ )

if i cant find the right size connector, i may need to replace existing trap with one of these:

question is do i need any tool for this or do the nuts have to be hand tight only. if i need a tool, any recommendations?

For the sake of a fiver, replace the trap. The current one looks a fair few years old.
I dont think the one you've linked to will fit, you may need the telescopic version. http://www.screwfix.com/p/telescopic-adaptor-trap-40mm/21296
