Hi,

I am fitting a new kitchen.

I have a single sink with a washing machine one side and a dishwasher the other side.

This will all go into 1 40mm waste pipe.

How is the best way to plump this?

With stand pipes or Sink Trap with Dishwasher & Washing Machine Connections?

Either way, but a trap with two appliance connections is the usual approach.

Depends - if you don't mind sink noise when draining etc and the potential for the extra gunk in the sink waste system/trap after a while then go for the sink waste with double appliance spigots.

If you want it quieter, less liable to gum up the sink waste and trap and have the ability to create a dedicated self cleaning run then fit a proper standpipe, into 40mm on as short a run as possible to the stack, set to the correct fall and have a dual appliance inlet vented cap on the top of it for both drains.
