New boiler quote :- Seem ok?

My prima F50 is slowly giving up the ghost...so decided to its time to get rid.

Wondering if this quote sounded ok

"Please find the quote for the boiler replacement below.

To supply and install the Worcester Bosch 15 Ri High Energy Efficient condensing boiler
To supply and install Worcester Bosch Flue exhaust kit.
PowerFlush all the radiators.
Add chemical boiler protector.
Copper pipe and fittings.
Supply and run electrical connections all tested.
Wire pump overrun directly from boiler to system pump.
Gas Safe registration certificate.
6 years Worcester Bosch guarantee.

The total price including labour and Vat.
£1300.00."

That inc 4 trv valves in the bed rooms. He said will take 2 days to install.

Sounds like a bargain to me. He's VAT registered so he must be fitting a few.
Hardly surprising at that price.

Only thing extra i have decided to have him add is an Magna clean filter. He said when quoting with a proper powerflush/inhibitor a magnaclean shouldnt be needed so will not include it in the quote.

Decided while its all being done though to have 1 fitted anyway just to make sure.

He said that would add £100 to the quote, seems fair as they are £80 to buy off the net and he will have to alter the pipework a little to fit it in

yes that is a very reasonable quote and spend the extra £100 getting the Magna clean, the power flush wont capture 100% of the magnatite and the Worcester R series dont like magnatite (Decent boiler though)

But if properly cleaned does not need a mag filter.

Although does no harm to have one! Except to your wallet.

Where did the 6yr guarantee come from as I thought the Worcester Bosch promotion was for 5 years?

Different areas and accredited installers on different schemes get different deals on warranties, agreed 6 years is unusual but its probably a 5 year and the installer has a deal where he gets an extra year for buying x amount of boilers

But quote is cheap as chips ............ hes working for not a lot to be honest

Thank god I dont have to work with those margins. If Joe is happy OP, you can guarantee the Installer is making nowt from that job.

A price is a price though. Its a quote, not an estimate yes?

Most are honest Mike. I have noticed many topics on this site when simple advice has been given by the 'regulars'. Look up gas112 (namsag). He often gets down to the 'nitty-gritty' without breaking forum rules and yet you keep very quiet when honest advise is given FOC. You come across as a bit of an idiot being so biased.... a one trick pony so to speak.

You bring nowt to this site other than a silly signature (which is childish) and a hatred for 'plumbers'.

You are wrong mate, if I were seeking an advice, and someone gave me a sound advice, I always thank them, there are a few helpful chaps on here with a level head, and I have always thanked them.

as for my contribution, where I can and when I tried helping people offering my advice, the regulars started picking on every little thing I said including my knowledge of English command, grammar, spellings etc etc,
and prevented me from offering any advice. Hence my signature speak the truth.

And what is wrong with my signature, I can't commend them high enough, if it were not for them we would all have frozen to death by now,
each year they save God knows how many lives!
