Hi

Does anybody know what these 2x long screws with threaded sections are used for?

Thanks

Rather than screwing the handle into the wood, you drill two holes and pass these through - therefore screwing one handle to the other. It's a much better way of doing it.

So i have the option. :D
That all depends. Some lockset manufacturers won't honour their guarantees unless those security screws are fitted. Similarly they can be a requirement on some jobs for reasons of fire safety, etc

Thanks for the infomation.

This is just for internal doors in my own home so should be fine.
