One of the Boston bombers shot dead!

lucky he didn't make it to Britain where we could have looked after him for the rest of his life.

He would be shot dead here too if he was in a gunfight with police. I'm sure the authorities would've rather take them alive, for 'questioning'

No, a "suspect" was shot dead.

He may be guilty, but shooting him is a failure not a success (an understandable failure).

And before you jump down on me screaming "ruddy liberals", consider if he actually was innocent, then the real bomber could be at large and planning another attack, or if he was guilty he may have planted another bomb.

Capturing people alive for questioning isn't just done for "ruddy liberal" civil liberty reasons.

Sadly it looks like an ISLAM race hate attack again.

The suspects appear to by Russian Checkyian Mudjahadeen

Yep got the spelling wrong but frankly don't want to learn the correct spellings for assholes.

Oh dear this opens up a political can of worms over Syria now.

Can't see much sympathy or cooperation coming from Russia after the good old US of A has been throwing money at al quida to bring down Assad.

I don't know the full details of this. Was he carrying a gun when he was shot?

(Sarcasm mode on:)

Sad, isn't it, that innocent people can be shot dead by the police for nothing more dreadful than pointing a loaded weapon at them?

(Sarcasm mode off:)

Certainly, assuming the deceased is guilty, shooting them could save us all a lot of time, trouble and money.

And if not?

An American 'Menezes'?

As I said, I'm not completely au fait with all of this although, as I understand it, he was shooting at the police at the time.

Wouldn't that make him guilty of something?

The point I'm making is that menezes was apparently running away/jumping barriers/about to detonate a bomb, and yet all that initial reporting was wrong...

After all, the septics (like our lot) don't exactly have a clean record when it comes to the truth!

Maybe they've got it right, maybe they've got it wrong...

But maybe it's best we leave it until the facts are known before praising 'summary justice'...?

Apparently shot dead during a shoot out with police, during which a police officer died too, so I doubt whether this "suspect" was innocent.

although a federal subject of russia I believe they are fairly autonomous in their own right, so i dont think it would be too right to expect putin to lend a hand.

I assume you mean chechnya.

Serious question Ellal - Not being funny or anything but why do you hate America so much?

Lefties usually chant the same drivel from the same hymn sheet.

"Down with Thatcher, down with America"
