I have been surveying lofts and cavities for a local Midlands agency that is not being forthcoming with paying commission on jobs that have been installed.

I am currently phoning every day (legally between the hrs of 8 am - 9 pm) but the turd is not taking my calls.

The Sherrifs will be visiting his house soon if my commission is not paid.

Any tips on here?

I will keep you posted as you will all encounter DISHONEST people in the future and this thread may help.

Mobile or land line?

The reason I ask is that if I have a non payer, I will call them in the early evening. If no one is home then I will call EVERY 15 minutes until someone answers the phone, normally by 1am I get 'stop phoning me! pick up your money tomorrow.'

It works every time.

I have tried that one but he is very resistant and will not take my calls. He would probably take the line out.

It is a landline as he stupidly gave me his home number.

I am very persistent and have called at 10.30 and 12.55 today (on a Sunday) but he has a tough skin.

This is day 4 after having 4 emails ignored last week and I WILL keep on until I get my cash.

:D

Wait till 8pm tonight and ring every 15 minutes. Most people don't like unplugging their main phone line.

How much commission are you talking about? Could you not go through the small claims court, although that will cost about £50, which you also claim for, you will not be wasting your time having to phone the tw@t - time is money!?

I've always found that rolled up jeans and steel toe capped boots help. Seriously!

I believe that is considered to be harassment of debtors, which is an offence.

I'd get on with the small claims court, you can kick it off online now.

If no one is picking up the phone then it can be assumed that the person is out.

Surely harassment would only count when actual contact is made.

How much (£££s) is the debt ?
have you anything on paper with his signature on to say he owes it ?.
Has he rejected the work or the goods ?
Is the person/company STILL trading ?.

Its over £1k and I have evidence on an email from him.

They are still putting work through a National Insulation Installer as middlemen.

:D

More fool you. You knew what they were like months ago when you were posting about them. Remember the proverb:

Fool me once - shame on you.

Fool me twice - shame on me.

When i was in direct sales and any of us got messed about or had a order cancelled-- we (salesmen) put the bugger who messed us about on the 3am call every morning.

It worked like this -- when any of us got back home after servicing our 'bits on the side'-- we would call the 'MESSER' on the landline (no mobiles at that time )

(we would have been fooked if those mobile tracking devices were available then) .
