Racist suicide Islamic 'snackbar' attacks have started in UK

I've yet to hear a yes or no the answer from the usual suspects to the following question (often asked) ...

Were there any Islamic terrorist attacks in the UK prior to the Iraq war?

You have had an answer to your question before.....................the answer was none.

The answer didn't make your point then and it doesn't now.

But yet again a simple question will not be answered...

So were there any Islamic terrorist attacks in the UK prior to the Iraq war?

The attacks would come whether we had gone to Iraq or not. Iraq just accelerated them.
So no they didn't happen before Iraq then...?

Of course the fact that we illegally invaded just prompted the fanatics to step up a gear... lol

Tell me again who coined the phrase 'war on terror', and then who chose the wrong target...

So glad we got that one cleared up again

This is interesting: one of the men has been named as Michael Adebolajo. Michael is a Christian name and Adebolajo is Yoruba, from western Nigeria. Most Yorubas are Christians.

I wouldn't be surprise if we learn he and his accomplice have been in jail here and had converted to islam while.

It wasn't explicitly stated before and it makes a valid point...

Someone said that "The attacks would come whether we had gone to Iraq or not."

Is that what you believe too?

You can't get more explicit than "none" that was the answer you received.

Yes, I believe these types of attack were inevitable regardless of Iraq.

We all feel outraged about it today but is this any worse than two white racists stabbing Stephen Lawrence to death with a broken bottle in a deserted stairwell?

Yes! And you need to revisit your post as you are mixing up the murder of a black child that was murdered by two black children with the murder of a young black male that was murdered by two(four) young white males.

Big Tone: And go where?
Back to America where I once lived. In California alone you can enjoy any lifestyle you choose Joe. (Don’t know if you’ve been there). Every culture, every weather, you name it.

I befriended some English at one point who played football, went to an Irish bar serving Guinness afterwards and noticed Cori being aired on their TV later that day. Okay, it’s not England but I felt more wanted and respected over there than I ever have over here. (Especially in my earning$). And that’s not me being sentimental or looking at it through rose tinted specs. Sometimes the grass really is greener elsewhere.

They have their problems, like every country, but to borrow a quote “there’s nothing wrong with America which can’t be put right with what’s right with America". The same cannot be said about England, sadly. There’s no going back for us here. Proof? Look at the native, (mainly white), English flocking from this country.

America looks after America, just like France looks after France. We, on the other hand, have become a nation of politically correct sheeple.

I don't see what the fuss is all about.
Our country is engaged in a 'war on terror', against extremists who are using terrorist tactics. Our soldiers are the ones we pay to do the fighting for us and are a legitimate target in the eyes of our enemy.
They have just scored a goal against us, using just the kind of tactics that one would expect.
This is a war of ideas, not territory, so they are able to bring the war to us in which ever country they please.
No point in screaming at the ref cos the other team aren't using 4-4-2

What some people need to get their heads around is the definition of terrorism and it's aims...

Terrorism is about:
1. 'terrifying' the general population by random acts of violence, and
2. trying to alter the way of life of the perceived enemy.

Well the limited number of terrorist attacks in the UK have certainly (with the help of the media and government) caused much of the UK to feel more at risk...

And we have certainly allowed our way of life to be changed:
Restrictions on freedom of speech.
various 'anti terror' laws now applied to the general population.
secret courts.
condoning torture and imprisonment without trial.
etc etc...

But of course we have to look at what we've imposed on the 'other side':
Illegal wars/invasions involving massive civilian casualties.
biased support of state terrorism.
And of course indiscriminate targetting of civilians by 'remote' weapons.

We are not at war with Pakistan, and yet our drones are in their skies 24/7. They often don't open schools or hold gatherings because of the threat of the constant buzzing killers (they call them the mosquitos).

They terrify the population, and their way of life has changed - the very definition of terrorism !

So who holds the moral high gound?

We used to, but ever since Bush/Blair we've become legitimate targets in the eyes of others!

People ought to realise that, and apportion some of the blame inwardly instead of just joining the crazies because its convenient!

Pakistan is the epicentre of terrorism - if any country needs invading it's Pakistan.

I think the real problem here is that just like islamics from Holland , Sweden , Denmark , France and everywhere else going off to fight in Syria anyone so minded can decide to attack just like they did yesterday.

The problem is other than claiming it is for some Islamic principle there is absolutely NOTHING to be gained by this type of activity.

The IRA had an agenda for their actions. They worked as a group.

Radicalised islamics are nothing but children playing at being soldiers but without the responsibility the role entails.

When I was young I wanted to be a racing driver and a romantic notion for me would be to 'win or die trying' weeping girls at my funeral...
It's a teenage wet dream that is as ridiculous as it is also firmly entrenched in the psyche of boys becoming men.
Radical Islam is just a modern equivalent of boys wanting to fly Spitfires or in my case race in FI 'do or die'.
They are easily manipulated into a mindset where somehow to die for a cause , any cause makes their 'life (huge irony here)' worthwhile.

Young Muslim children play Xbox Call of duty all day long just like western kids do and the link between reality gets broken.

Dreams become ideals and ideals become dangerous obsessions. The slide from an armchair warrior to a real one is a supported one for those that want to take it.
