Anyway, back to topic, Legislation and appropriate punishment for the selfish irresponsible owners. What's wrong with that????

Really the reason that Egyptians loved the cats was because they lived in a big cat litter tray.
The sand was marvellous
The cats killed the vermin
Then buried their poo
which was eaten by dung beetles
everybody happy
The reason that LMB doesn't like cats is
only he is allowed to kill vermin (subject to the return of the death penalty)
The cats bury their poo in his winter pansies
The absence of dung beetles instead means lots of flies.

So, the solution is to have a load of dung beetles in your garden. Then everyone's happy! Hoorah.
In fact, we could save a load of water by doing our "business" in the garden instead of loos, and let the beetles strut their stuff and do their business. Dragon's den, here I come.

That's one solution. Another solution is not to let anyone who dislikes cats out of the house.
