Hi,
Have put up a summer house in the garden and would like a double socket in there. I don't want power in there 24/7, I'd like the ability to switch off from the house when not in use.
There is a fence running between the garage and summer house and would be straight forward to put clips and conduit between the concrete posts to run cable there.
The ring main into the conservatory is easily accessible in the garage and I was wondering if there were any temporary measures to connect into it?
Was thinking a junction box to break into the ring and some protection for the resulting spur - eg a switched FCU?
This would connect it into the house a bit more than I was hoping. Is there a more loosely coupled option? I was thinking a plug into a socket was perhaps a bit nasty and wondered if there was anything in between?
Apologies if my descriptions aren't good.
