Anyone else got a problem with vodaphone? I havent been able to get a signal for nearly a day now on either of my phones. I know voda isn't brilliant round here but you do get some signal usually.

Just been onto vodaphone apparently our network is being upgraded to the heady heights of 3G !! Whatever next, well be getting running water and elastictrickery soon.

3G????

Don't you mean the heady heights of 4G????

Either way, I've given up Voda and my MVNO SIM's using Voda.

Voda is rubbish round here and, based on my work phone (also on Voda)and all the areas I've worked in over the years (all areas of Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Manchester, Stockport, Lancashire, Staffordshire, Birmingham, London, North Wales), their signal is poor all over the country.

I'm currently doing very well on 3's 321 PAYG tariff, both price- and signal-wise.

ring them up and say you want a refund for the amount of time youve been unable to use the service you pay for.

done this on 3 and got a £5 refund as there system went down, out and about was ok but couldnt use it at home.

Yes 2G to 3G upgrade, which has killed the network round here, we have no service currently. I can't imagine we're a priority, I once enquired about cable services round here only to be told that the area I live in is unlikely to ever be cabled as its not worth it.

Surprised they did not offer you a booster box. I don't know how it works, but apparently 3 can boost your signal at home with a box that plugs in (to your router???).

JB: Pleased 3 is working for you and it's a Brucie Bonus if it works in Yorks as well.

In a small village no.... unlike a certain shampoo... we're not worth it.

4G is coming, as I'm sure you are all aware. I have mixed feelings about this, though. Yes, internet connections on smartphones will, in theory at least, be much quicker, but there is a risk that Freeview TV reception may suffer in some cases.

Three, for example, have recently opened 4G in central Manchester, which is almost directly between me and Winter Hill and we haven't noticed any TV reception problems. It could be, though, that other suppliers might interfere as there are different 4G signal bands and, as I understand it, some can affect TV transmissions whilst others do not.
