Earthing arrangement?

Would you link these two MET terminals together?
Split phase supply. PME.
Not internally linked inside cutout.

Perhaps I should say one phase is supplying off peak heating only. The other phase is supplying the rest of the installation.

The right hand cut out looks to have four wires but only one fuse, and the left hand one only has one single wire?!

I think the left does have 2.

The right probably has 4 because of economy 7

Yes right hand one has 4 because of economy 7. Left hand one is using the neutral from the right hand one.

You said that the two earth terminals are not linked within the cutouts, but since it's PME, then both will surely be derived from that same common neutral, and hence already 'linked' (by the shared neutral), won't they?

However, what's that puny (I assume 'earth') cable on the left, and where does it go?

Is it a single supply cable or two? Cant see a supply into the left?

Assuming both CUs are earthed no!

If they were interconnected and in the event of a lost neutral on the RH service the interconnecting earth wire would carry the full load of that service to the neutral/earth of the other!
i would disconnect that small cable from that LH cut-out as well

Yes the small cream earth is a bt earth.

Ok my mistake, after john's comment I checked the two MET terminals again for continuity and yes they are internally linked. don't know what I did when I thought I checked it previously!
