Hello Guys I have a boiler issue... i have central heating but dont have hotwater...

firstly i changed some old ugly copper pipes for some new plastic and push fit joints under the sink as hve a new kitchen...

but now i only have central heating, dont have hot water... it was working before i changed the pipes  unsure if its something ive done??

there is no airlock... something i need to do with the hot pipes? boiler is on 1.5 bar... central heating is all good!

so i have checked the boiler... took front off and the pin comes up for the central heating to fire up the boiler but doesnt come out at the front for the hot water??...

i had a spare round front part of the diverter valve... changed that and that still didnt work??? - do i have to change the part as in the picture i have uploaded as below?? or do i have to do something else?

if so can anyone point me to where they are cheap?

thanks in advance

You may have crossed the pipes. Diaphragm split. So check the pipes first. If there ok then turn your hw tap on does the boiler do anything? If not then more than likely diaphragm. If it does then you could be looking at divertor valve, motorised head.

crossed the pipes? you mean when i changed them over? cold onto hot and visa versa?

hw water turned on boiler doesn't do anything... boiler doesnt fire... but does with central heating turned on

you will have crossed the hot and colds when you messed around under sink.

Your looking too deep into boiler it would only be the front diaphragm if it was boiler fault
