flexi straight on to iso valve

yes you can...you may find however that it may be difficult to get a perfect seal because the isolator has tapered edges to accept an olive....this gives less of a flat surface to grip the rubber washer in the flexi.
Do keep an eye on it for a while!

Yes, but not ideal. The end of the valve will be slightly tapered to accommodate the olive and this can cut into the flexi washer.

 Great minds and all that :)

A better method - if you want to use a flexi - is to have a stub of copper pipe just after the isolator, and use a flexi that has a compression end on it.
I tried your method ages ago with some Ikea taps with flexi connectors....all was initially fine until the tiny droplet two days later!

No problem, just file a flat face on the edge the washer is going to sit on. Although you've probably done it by now

If the valve is chrome, why not screw one of these on, giving you a flat surface for the washer?

Although, depending on location and visibility, it might look a bit daft
